Children and adolescents
Children and adolescents are under an increasing pressure to perform, often at the expense of a carefree childhood. In order to develop self-confidence and a personal identity, children need spaces where they are able to develop their own talents and ideas, find out who they are and what determines their individuality. Healthy relationships towards themselves, towards adults and peers, a sense of belonging as well as good self-regulation and communiation skills are essential basics for a happy and successful life.
Having worked with children and adolescents in the clinical and therapeutic setting for many years, I offer professional psychological support in the case of
- anxiety and fears
- social problems
- learning difficulties
- school reluctance and refusal
- coping difficulties in cases of separation, divorce or loss of a beloved person
- psychosomatic conditions
- sleep problems
- addictive behaviours
- eating disorders
- attention difficulties
- problems with reading and writing
- hightened sensibility (HSP)
- professional disorientation
Often, psychotherapy and coaching go hand in hand with each other, espescially in the case of multiple concerns that may require support on various levels. In many cases, it is helpful at some point in the process, to also involve other family members in the therapy or coaching. For learning and concentration difficulties, I offer an integrative learning therapy, which also encompasses specific physical exercises fostering neurodevelopment.
